Tiffany Mixed Metal Sterling Silver Water Pitcher Sells for $37,800 on January 20th of 2023. The piece weighed 26 troy ounces. That equates to a sale price of $1,463.84 per troy ounce, which a little less than half its weight in gold.

AN AMERICAN SILVER AND MIXED-METAL WATER PITCHER
MARK OF TIFFANY & CO., NEW YORK, CIRCA 1880, DESIGNED BY EDWARD C. MOORE
Of baluster form with spot-hammered surface, the body applied with copper and Japanese gold iris, dragonflies, and koi fish in a pond with bamboo and reeds, the loop handle with copper bands, engraved on the underside with foliate monogram LHY and XMAS 1880, marked on underside and numbered 3077-1929 and with other metals number 785
7 1/2 in. (19 cm.) high
26 oz. 16 dwt. (833 gr.)
This is an absolutely exquisite piece. It is very similar to a water pitcher that was the cover shot for the recently Metropolitan Museum of Art's Exhibition on Designer Edward C. Moore in the year 2024.
